Set for release on Dec. 20, the final Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer is here, and made its debut on Monday Night Football. This sneak peek shows us a fleet of First Order TIE Fighters, a large battalion of Rebel ships led by the Millennium Falcon, and of course space horses, in which Poe, new warrior Jannah (Naomi Ackie) as well as others, ride into battle to take on Stormtroopers. It also teases the return of Empire leader Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) from the original “Star Wars” trilogy. Read more for the trailer and additional information.
However, the most anticipated sequence would have to be the Kylo Ren and Rey face off on what appears to be wreckage of sorts. Rise of Skywalker could also mean droid C-3PO’s (Anthony Daniels) last appearance since he tells Poe, “Taking one last look, sir. At my friends.” Star Wars fans on social media claim this could be some sort of sacrifice for the better good, but we’ll all have to wait just a bit longer to find out.
