The end of an epic film series is coming for the Skywalker “Star Wars” saga after 40 memorable years, but it’s going out with a bang. New footage of “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker” that was shown at the D23 fan convention this past Saturday has now been released online, with footage from all nine “Star Wars” movies, starting with 1977’s “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.” Read more for the trailer and additional information.
Set for release on December 20th, this trailer shows end-all battle where Rey (Daisy Ridley) engages in a fierce lightsaber battle with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) on a spaceship’s wreckage. You also see a cloaked Rey pulls out a red, double lightsaber in battle, similar to the what Darth Maul wielded in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.”
