You’ve seen the GM Defense Electric Military Concept Vehicle (eMCV), now check out the GMC HUMMER EV EarthCruiser Upfit solution that turns the pickup truck into an expedition vehicle. The carbon fiber, insulated tri-layer pop-up roof boasts an onboard 605W solar power system and 6 kWh of 12V lithium-ion batteries that provide up to seven days of off-grid power.
The interior was specially designed for versatility and storage including a selection of appliances, an indoor / outdoor shower, 120V / 12V outlets, lots of storage space, as well as a flat-pack toilet. An RV full-size bed lets you get a comfortable night’s rest on just about any terrain, while a 7-inch touchscreen control panels is a breeze to use. You can see the EarthCruiser Upfit in person at the Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado between Aug. 25-27. There’s no word yet on pricing, but it will be available in 2024 directly from EarthCruiser.
