The Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 smartphones are set to be officially revealed on October 4th, but PBKreviews managed to get his hands on both handsets for unboxing videos. Aside from the Pixel 8 Pro’s matte glass finish, we find out that both devices still use an optical fingerprint sensor.
Priced at $699 and $999 respectively, the handsets appear to include only a USB-C cable and USB-A to USB-C dongle, with no charger or earphones in sight. Other rumored features include a Google Tensor G3 chip, up to 12GB of RAM, 128GB of base storage, and possibly a 64MP rear camera sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro. The handsets should ship with Android 14, which is in beta now and introduces the ability to launch two applications side-by-side in a split-screen view.
