HyperLoopTT HyperPort Study Brazil Transport 370MPH Cargo
Now here’s a name you don’t hear often: Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT). The company announced this week that they have completed the world’s first HyperPort feasibility study in Brazil. What did they discover? Well, just the transformative potential of the HyperPort system to meet Brazil’s growing shipping demands while promoting sustainable economic growth for starters.

It consisted of a 341-mile route that connected the Port of Santos to São Paulo, extending through major cities like Campinas as well as São José do Rio Preto. The two-way system can transport 5,600 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) per day at 370 mph, thus reducing transit times from hours or days to just minutes. Once completed, the system is able to bypass environmentally sensitive areas, avoiding the need for additional highway construction, thus reducing congestion, carbon emissions, and pavement wear.

EGA Group in São Paulo was the first to embrace this groundbreaking technology, and the data from this study confirms that HyperPort will be a leading solution for the ports of the 21st century,” said Andrés de León, HyperloopTT CEO.
