Here’s an interesting Mac mod: a PowerBook converted into a MAME arcade cabinet, complete with arcade-style joystick. Inside the custom built cabinet, you’ll find a PowerBook, which includes the hard drive, LCD screen, and motherboard. Speakers are mounted on the left and right sides.
I was trying to keep a sort of minimal control layout that would facilitate the most MAME games. The five buttons easily accomodate all the Asteroids-style games. Add a single joystick and all the maze games come online
