IM Motors Prototype EV Sideways Parking
The 1927 Citroen B12 Torpedo may have been the first car with self-parking assist, but this new prototype EV from IM Motors takes it to the next level with sideways parking technology. This is achieved through specially developed electric motors in the rear wheels that enable them to rotate in the opposite direction.

This prototype does appear to be very similar to IM Motors’ L6 electric sedan, but there’s no word yet on if this sideways parking technology is fully autonomous or needs a human drive behind the wheel to activate it. If the short teaser video is any indication, a human driver will still be needed to ensure that the vehicle can switch to manual operation in case of emergency.
