According to the NOAA, Moore didn’t report the extremely rare find until Thursday – the 18-foot-long shark is only the second ever seen in the Gulf. They’re most commonly found off the coast of Japan, says the Houston Chronicle reports, and are normally “pinkish white” in color with bluish fins.
