American television host Jay Leno recently got behind the wheel of Tanner Foust’s new all-electric 1,000+ hp nitro rallycross vehicle, which can accelerate from 0-60 mph in a mere 1.5 seconds.
Featuring a quad electric motor setup, a 3-speed transmission, and 14-inches of travel that enable it to travel just about anywhere, especially Nitrocross tracks. The latter are purpose built sporting mixed surfaces, with an emphasis on dirt and include high-banked corners, as well as large jumps.

The Group E championship, to date, is the only professional rallycross events I’ve ever missed in the U.S. since the sport came here, and I was involved in bringing the sport to the U.S. with Andreas Eriksson. I’ve worked with him, I’ve known his kids since they were snotty little kids covered in mud running through the Swedish forests. Now I’m going to be racing alongside them, which is very cool,” said Foust to RACER.
