Electric Nitro Rallycross Car Nissan GT-R Porsche 911 Turbo S Drag Racing
Yes, an all-electric Xite Racing Nitro Rallycross car is used for real races, and it takes on a Nissan GT-R as well as the Porsche 911 Turbo S in CarWow’s latest drag racing showdown. Some may be wondering how an EV can compete with an 1100HP Nissan GT-R, but most don’t know that the rallycross car is powered by four electric motors generating a combined peak 820 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, all in a 3527-pound package.

The heavily modified Nissan GT-R’s twin-turbocharged 3.8L six-cylinder engine has been boosted to 1,100 hp and 937 lb-ft (1,270 Nm) of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission sending power to all wheels. Does the Porsche 911 Turbo S, powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.7L flat-six pumping making 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, paired with a dual-clutch transmission, really stand a chance? Watch to find out, but none of these vehicles stand a chance against a real F1 car.

Our goal for the FC1-X was to create the best rallycross car possible. One that can put down more power than anything seen in competition and durable enough to thrive in the Nitro Rallycross. With more torque, acceleration, and top speed than any gas-powered Supercar,” said Travis Pastrana, 2022 Nitro Rallycross champion.
