For those who haven’t tried Korean barbecue, it’s essentially grilling meat on gas or charcoal grills that are built directly into the dining table itself or with portable stoves for diners to use at their tables. Chef Chris Oh decided to bring this experience to your doorstep using a custom Scion xB, complete with a grill, seating for four, motorized table, flatscreen TV, speaker system, and even strobe lights.
Two caveats: currently only those in Los Angeles can book the Korean BBQ Car, and it costs at least $500 for the standard package. What does this entail? In addition to it parking in your driveway, workplace, etc., you get four pounds of assorted meats, including pork belly, ribeye as well as short rib, two bottles of soju, lots of beer, Korean side dishes, and steamed rice.
