Unveiled at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Lamborghini SC63 LMDh will compete in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the GTP class of the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Endurance Cup. This hybrid racing prototype marks the start of Lamborghini’s roadmap for electrification and their goal to hybridize the entire model range by the end of 2024.
It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V8 engine, paired with a hybrid system, that generates a combined 671 hp to meet racing regulations, all controlled by a Bosch electronic control unit. To keep everything cool, air intakes are integrated into the sidepods behind the cockpit, incorporating eight different radiators including two intercoolers, one gearbox radiator, one condenser for the air conditioning, one radiator for the Energy Recovery System (ERS), one for the Energy Storage System (ESS) and two water radiators.
