Meta Quest Pro Virtual Reality Headset VR Leak
Playing this Resident Evil VR mod will be much more immersive with the new Meta Quest Pro virtual reality headset, which has purportedly leaked ahead of its official reveal in an unboxing video. Ramiro Cardenas of Zectriuz Gaming allegedly discovered a Meta Quest Pro box in a hotel room where he works, although we can’t rule this being just an elaborate stunt either.

One thing to note is that this isn’t a Meta Quest Pro unit designed to be put on store shelves, but rather an engineering sample. This could indicate that what you see hear is actually the unit that you’ll be able to buy. Aesthetically, we could see the new pancake lenses that replace the traditional Fresnel lenses, eye / facial tracking sensors, and a completely redesigned controller. Rumored features include two 2,160 x 2,160 MiniLED Backlit LCD Panels, a 16MP Color Camera for Color Passthrough, a Qualcomm XR2+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB SSD, WiFi 6E Support, and a 5,000 mAh battery.

Normal process is to just throw it away in the dumpster. [At first I thought]…great, someone bought Oculus Quest and threw away the boxes. Then I put it back, logged that it was found [and] requested whoever claims it provide ID and specify what items were inside the bag. There was no way someone would guess,” said Cardenas to Kotaku.
