LG Transparent OLED CES 2021
CES 2021 has finally kicked off, and despite it being an all-digital event this year, LG has not disappointed. Tonight, they revealed a bevy of transparent OLED TVs, starting with a Smart Bed that has a 55-inch panel as well as speakers built directly into the frame. At the push of a button, it rises out of the foot of the bed and can either be used to just show notifications, or as a normal TV for movies, shows, etc. Plus, it can even analyze your sleep patterns and wake you up at set times. For restaurants, there’s a 55-inch transparent OLED and a 23.1-inch In-Touch stretch display. The former can be used to show menu items or entertainment when the chef is cooking. Want to place another order or ask for your bill? Simply look beneath the larger panel at the stretch display and select your items(s) or request. The company also showcased a 55-inch Rail and Pivot OLED that can be hidden away when not in use and then just pulled out from behind a wall to maximize space.
