Light Field Lab SolidLight Holographic System
Google’s Project Starline is great for video conferencing, but it’s still a far cry from the SolidLight holographic systems by Light Field Lab. The company announced today that they have raised $50-million from investors to continue to develop and scale their SolidLight holographic systems, including Space and Time, which allows you to speak as well as interact with holograms.

Put simply, SolidLight is the highest resolution holographic display platform ever designed, allowing real digital objects to form in mid-air without having to wear any special headset or glasses. The hardware boasts self-emissive bezel-less panels capable of being assembled into modular holographic video walls. This turn-key system solution could be utilized by a multitude of next-generation experiences.

Light Field Lab is building the future of immersive experiences and we are pleased to support the team in bringing true holograms to life. Being able to see, deliver and interact with 3D content without any assistive peripheral devices will substantially advance the consumer adoption of SolidLight, not just in the entertainment space, but also the way in which we interact and collaborate through remote technologies,” said Dr. Songyee Yoon, chief strategy officer, NCSOFT.
