Luma’s tools can basically generate 3D images and videos from captured images, cinematic product videos, as well as dynamic camera moves. Now AI gymnastics appear to still need lots of work in the physics department, as the imagery is pure nightmare fuel…for now.
AI tools like Luma can only generate a sequence of images based on available training data and doesn’t yet understand how the human body looks or moves. This would explain the morphing bodies, while their movements look somewhat familiar. Or perhaps Luma’s model is so perplexed by the gymnasts’ physical abilities that it thinks they’re superhuman.
