Brazilian Hidrely Diao has always been fascinated with artificial intelligence and just what it can do with deepfakes. What better way to make use of it than on cartoon characters to see just how they would actually look like as humans. Some of these characters would not look out of place in live-action remakes of famous animated features or cartoon series. First up, we have Tinkerbell from Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid’s Prince Eric.
Since the artist grew up watching shows such as The Simpsons and Disney classics, it would only make sense to focus on these characters first before moving on to more modern shows. What software did he use? Adobe Photoshop, along with three different AI-powered photo editing apps: FaceApp, Gradient, and Remini. The portraits of cartoon characters had to be carefully selected for ones that show as much of the facial features as possible.
