Mac Mini M4 Base Model
Apple’s Mac Mini M4 base model is being offered at Black Friday prices, as you can get one for $490.84 shipped today, originally $599. This tiny machine packs the M4 chip—same as in pricier devices like the iPad Pro or MacBook Pro, and it’s up to 1.8x faster CPU as well as 2.2x faster GPU than the M1 Mac Mini, and benchmarks show it’s ~55% faster than the M2 in CPU tasks. The redesigned 5x5x2-inch chassis is nearly half the size of the M2 Mac Mini, making it ultra-portable and desk-friendly. It’s quiet (fans barely spin during normal use) and has front USB-C ports for convenience, alongside three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, and Ethernet. It’s ideal for home offices, kiosks, or even pairing with an Apple Vision Pro.

It now handles up to three external displays (two 6K + one 5K), a step up from the M2’s two-display limit. Great for multi-monitor setups without needing the Pro chip. Speaking of multi-monitor setups, the Mac Mini M4 easily handles casual gaming (indie titles, older AAA games like Control) at 1080p/1440p with medium settings. For creative tasks like Logic Pro or light Final Cut Pro, it’s surprisingly capable.

This little system is a workhorse. Nowadays I dont have space for a mid or full tower system, and this little computer does most of what my previous full setups did, and some things it does more effectively. For daily use, its perfect. And you can even do some gaming on it. Its unbeatable for the price. Just make sure the storage size is right for you,” said one reviewer.
