Mac Mini M4 Teardown User Replaceable SSD
Sure, the Mac Mini Mini is repair-friendly, but what about the new Mac Mini M4? There’s good and bad news, as the latest model is easier to repair, but only storage is user upgradeable.



This means that the SSD isn’t soldered on, but the part holding the NAND module in place cannot be purchased from the Apple Store, or anywhere else for that matter. With that said, this still hasn’t stopped the more technically inclined from upgrading the SSD to a 2TB module for maximum storage without having to resort to external solutions.
