Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, announced today that he’s working on giving everyone a personal superintelligence. What does this mean? Well, he envisions an AI that won’t just do tasks, but will also help you chase your dreams and live better.
This “personal superintelligence” will know what you want and help you get it, whether it’s creating art, planning trips or simply being a digital friend. Unlike other companies that want AI to take over jobs, Meta wants to use AI to make your life more creative as well as connected.

To achieve this, Meta is building a new team, called Meta Superintelligence Labs, to create this powerful AI. They’re investing heavily on huge data centers to power it and hiring top talent, sometimes for $100-million salaries. They’re also working on smartglasses that see and hear what you do, acting as a constant companion to offer helpful suggestions.
Why do all this work? Zuckerberg thinks AI should help people do what they love, not just make work easier. According to a 2025 survey, most people already use AI for personal tasks and Meta wants to build on that, but there are challenges, such as making sure the AI is safe and trustworthy. On the other hand, some worry this AI will just keep you stuck in Meta’s apps, like Facebook, instead of changing the world.
