You’ve seen the camouflage wrap, now check out the world’s first matte black Tesla Cybertruck, which was apparently being driven by Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen. He was apparently attending the Santa Monica Teslas & Coffee event this past weekend in Santa Monica.
We’re just 24-days away from the Cybertruck delivery event at Gigafactory Texas, so Elon Musk could announce this matte black variant then or the option to wrap it in matte black for a premium. If the latter is the case, expect a full body Cybertruck wrap to cost more than $10,000 USD, as they Model 3 / Model Y versions set you back between $7,500 – $8,000. In related news, Elon Musk did mention to Joe Rogan that Tesla plans to produce around 200,000 Cybertruck vehicles per year.

We’re aiming to make about 200,000 a year at volume production. Maybe a little more, but I just can’t emphasize enough that manufacturing is much much harder than the initial design. Not that the Cybertruck was easy to design, I’m not trying to trivialize design. What I’m trying to do is to emphasize the difficulty of manufacturing which is not understood by the public because there’s no movie about it,” said Musk.
