The Apple Watch saved a woman’s life recently, but most kids may not need all the functions a typical smartwatch has to offer. Introducing Mellow Watch, a 4G LTE smartwatch designed for kids that is packed with features to help them learn about the world of finance using actual money and through real-life practices.
These real-life practices include Apple Pay-like contactless payments, learn about savings goals, money transfers, setting a weekly allowance, making a chores list, how to manage their spending history, and even smart money quizzes. What really sets it apart from other smartwatches for kids is the option to use a virtual debit card issued by Visa or Mastercard. There’s no word yet on when it will be released, but the company does plan on launching a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign next month.
