Here’s a first look at the BlackBerry-like Minimal smartphone, which features a tactile QWERTY keyboard designed for quick, precise typing. The keyboard aims to offer a responsive alternative to counterbalance the E-Ink display’s refresh rate.
When the E-Ink display is combined with its 4,000mAh battery, you can expect up to 4-days of continuous use on a single charge. This Android-based smartphone is compatible with most apps found on the Google Play store, although intense games or videos are not recommended due to the display’s refresh rate. It also offers WiFi, Bluetooth, global cellular network support, and has a front-facing camera. There’s no word yet on a release date, but it’s expected to retail for around $400 USD.
