Think of the LILYGO T-Deck as a BlackBerry-like device that you can build at home. At $42.66 USD, this board features a 2.8-inch (320 x 240) IPS LCD, an ESP32-S3FN16R8 dual-core LX7 microprocessor, 16MB of Flash memory, 8MB of PSRAM, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 (LE) connectivity, and an IO04 connector for a LiPo battery.
Yes, it also comes equipped with a keypad, trackball, microphone and speaker, although you’ll need to fabricate a case as well as source a battery. Once you finish building the device, you’ll also have to code your own software (Arduino or Micropython) to run anything, but fortunately, it does have a microSD card reader as well as a USB-C port to make transferring data much easier. The device itself measures 100 x 68 x 11mm, which is similar in size to the BlackBerry KEY2 LE. More information here.
