NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has been capturing jaw-dropping images of the universe for over 2-years now, including the Pillars of Creation and Cosmic Cliffs. These two images are now featured on new US Postal Service Priority Mail stamps.
The first stamp of the “Cosmic Cliffs” in the Carina Nebula, located roughly 7,600 light-years away, was captured by Webb’s NIRCam (Near-Infrared Camera). Next up, we have the ‘Pillars of Creation‘, located around 6,500 light-years from Earth, was observed by Webb’s MIRI (Mid-Infrared Instrument), showcasing its pillars that are flush with gas and dust. Both are available now, priced at $121.80 and $39.40 respectively.
