Native Super Metroid PC Port
Super Nintendo fans rejoice! A team of programmers are working on a native Super Metroid PC port, with the original game being completely rewritten in C / C++ to resemble the original when compiled. For now, interested gamers have to decompile the project, which still has a few bugs that need to be work out.

Aside from the bugs, this native PC port retains the 2D side-scrolling action that primarily takes place on the fictional planet Zebes from the first game. Players can explore the large, open-ended world with areas connected by doors and elevators, while controlling Samus Aran as she searches the planet for a Metroid that has been stolen by Ridley, the leader of the Space Pirates.
