If you grew up in the 80s, there’s probably an old NES cartridge, or two, laying around, but what if you could repurpose it into a fully-functional game console? We can’t exactly call it an NES console, as the device is based on a device purchased from AliExpress.
Put simply, the main PCB with the cartridge slot was removed from the AliExpress device and then placed inside an NES Golf cartridge. This required removing a few plastic bits inside before cutting holes for the controller ports, and then trimming them down a bit. Getting the console working on a TV required using a headphone-to-RCA cable.
- Compatible with NES cartridges and controllers
- Includes AV ports with AV cable
- Includes 5 ft. Micro cable.
I love that it’s clear that James can be incredibly precise and he could have made this look so clean and polished. But instead, he’d rather smash things together like some kind of mad scientist wizard because it’s more fun,” said one commenter.
