UAE-based auto enthusiast, also known as Zaku Mods, turned a Nintendo Game Boy into a functional speedometer for this Nissan 300ZX. Upon closer inspection, you’ll realize that the Game Boy’s internals have been removed and replaced with a backlit screen.
More specifically, this Z31-generation Nissan 300ZX (1983-189) came in a turbocharged 3.0L VG30ET V6 model that makes 197 hp and 227 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. No details were provided on what additional hardware was added to the Game Boy, but it either has Z31 sensors or connects to a mobile phone via Bluetooth to get the GPS speed information. Whatever the case, Zaku Mods is offering to build more of these if fans are interested.
