The rumors are true, a Nintendo Switch OLED Splatoon 3 Edition console is coming on August 26th. Featuring a design inspired by the game itself, complete with colorful squid-tastic images straight out of Splatsville. It includes a set of one blue and one yellow gradient Joy-Con controllers that boast white underbellies as well as a white, graffiti-themed Nintendo Switch dock.
Aside from the design, it’s still the same model that was released last October, with a 7-inch OLED screen, a wide adjustable stand, a wired LAN port-equipped dock, and 64GB of internal storage. Now the Splatoon 3 game launches on September 9th and has you engaging in chaotic 4-v-4 Turf War clashes across a combination of new and returning stages. Teams will face off to cover the most ground in their ink to win, and discover features, weapons as well as the latest gear.
- 7-inch OLED screen - Enjoy vivid colors and crisp contrast with a screen that makes colors pop
- Wired LAN port - Use the dock’s LAN port when playing in TV mode for a wired internet connection
- 64 GB internal storage - Save games to your system with 64 GB of internal storage
Splatoon 3 also features a single-player campaign and the next iteration of the co-op Salmon Run mode. Join Agent 3 in the single-player story mode for a fight against the unruly Octarians and discover the secrets of a mysterious place called Alterna and the Fuzzy Ooze. When diving into Salmon Run, you’ll ink up with teammates to fend off waves of dangerous Salmonid bosses, some of which are colossal in size!,” said Nintendo.
