Metroid Dread also launches on October 8th and it retains the side-scrolling gameplay of previous games as well as the free aim melee attacks found in Samus Returns (2017). This installment does add stealth elements, allowing Samus to avoid the pesky EMMI robots by hiding, lowering her noise level, and using the Phantom Cloak camouflage technology that reduces her noise, but slows her movement.
