To promote the New Balance 327 sneakers, the company partnered with the automaker to create the Nissan Kicks 327 Edition. It’s based on the Nissan Kicks e-Power 4WD SUV, powered by a 1.2L 3-cylinder gasoline engine, paired with a 349 volt AC Synchronous electric motor, generating a combined 134 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque.
As for the sneaker look, the vehicle was essentially wrapped from head to toe, with a prominent New Balance logo emblazoned on the right side. Not just any wrap, this one recreates the texture of suede fabric as well as the rubberized feel of the white sole. Plus, you can’t forget the tongue and collar on the roof, complete with white laces that run all the way down to the front hood. Between January 24 – February 28, you can see it in person in three different locations, beginning at the Nissan Crossing exhibition in Ginza.
