Life for Design’s (LFD) PAIR Node modular AI smartphone boasts user swappable hardware components that can be upgraded without requiring any additional tools. This includes the processor, RAM, internal storage, cameras, speakers, and what appears to be a rear OLED screen.
We’re assuming its edge-to-edge OLED front screen can also be replaced when necessary, and since the proprietary operating system is AI-powered, there can also be a personal assistant module that can be used to answer questions, take calls, make notes, and more. Users can use up to eight different node blocks at one time, with fifteen total to select from. There’s no word yet on if this concept will make it into production.
