Paris-Plages Floating Movie Theater Cinema
Paris-Plages is an annual event by the mayor that creates temporary artificial beaches each summer along the river Seine in the city center of Paris. Officially called “Cinéma sur l’Eau (translated as cinema on water)”, this free event will allow attendees to enjoy the 2018 film Le Grand Bain while riding in one of 38 electric boats available for the occasion. Plus, 150 deckchairs will also be available in case you don’t fancy being on the water.

Each boat can comfortably seat up to six adults, but not everyone will have a chance at riding in one, as you’ll need to be selected from a lottery, which is now closed, as of July 15th. This event is being sponsored by the M2 theater chain and Häagen-Dazs. Before Le Grand Bain is played, a French comedy short film about a group of men who start a synchronized swimming team, called A Corona Story, will play.
