Phone farming, also known as a click farm, is essentially used to create passive income by exploiting a mobile incentive program using multiple devies to perform the same action simultaneously, whether it be watching a trailer or downloading apps. Most of these phone farmers use paid-to-watch apps or other incentive based programs over dozens or even hundreds of devices in order to increase the total amount earned. It can also be used for operations that orchestrate dozens or even hundreds of phones to create a certain outcome such as improving the ratings of a restaurant in Yelp or bumping up the rankings for apps in App Stores with 5-Star reviews. More recently, these phone farmers have been using this particular method for leaving 5-star reviews on Amazon or other e-commerce websites in order to increase rankings as well as sales.
