Yes, instant cameras are still a thing, but the Polaroid DUO 01 is one of the first we’ve seen with a modular design. This device consists of two components, the camera itself, and then a printer dock of sorts.
When not snapping photos, the camera module can be attached to a key ring, and we imagine some other accessories that could turn it into a GoPro-like device. How so? The Polaroid DUO 01 is basically an instant / digital camera in one, which means it can probably record footage. Snap the smaller module into a waterproof case, and you’re ready to go. There’s no word yet on if this concept will ever make it into production.
