Racing fans rejoice! A modern Porsche-themed Volkswagen racing support van has been unveiled. This one is based on the electric VW ID.Buzz minivan and sports the classic Renndienst (race service) livery. It’s set to tour eight different dealerships in the Netherlands, along with a Taycan Sport Turismo, beginning later this month for Porsche’s 75th anniversary.
Power comes from an electric motor driving the rear wheels making 204-horsepower, connected to a 77 kWh battery pack. Unfortunately, you won’t be seeing this race support van at any actual events this year, as each of the eight ID. Buzzes will be used as shuttles and for promotional purposes at Porsche Netherland’s various showrooms. Just for the record, the first Porsche Renndienst was used in 1954 at the famed Mille Miglia race.
