Quantum Stealth Invisibility Cloak
Hyperstealth Biotechnology Corp has just announced four new patent applications for their ‘Quantum Stealth’ technology, which is essentially a real-life invisibility cloak. This paper-thin material does not require an external power source, and can hide objects or persons by simply bending the light around them so that only the background is visible. The company is pitching the technology for military use, and claims that “one piece of Quantum Stealth can work in any environment, in any season at any time of the day or night, something no other camouflage is capable of.” This Quantum Stealth material can also bend ultraviolet and infrared light, thus making them invisible to even night-vision goggles.
