Created by industrial designer Batyrkhan Bayaliev, the Mi Mix Alpha P (stands for pocket, phone, panorama, and papyrus) is an ‘expandable’ smartphone concept that has an expandable, scroll-inspired display. When can this come in handy? The fully expanded configuration is great for watching media or making video calls, while fully closing it makes the device perfect for your pocket. As you can see, the display can expand far beyond the original dimensions, thanks to two scroll-like mechanisms on each side. How you decide to use each configuration is up to you, but it still keeps a triple rear camera setup to ensure that you’ll be able to capture footage for social media.
