REDMAGIC 11 Air Gaming Smartphone
REDMAGIC launched its new gaming smartphone, the 11 Air, to the rest of the globe today, following its first release in China. The goal here is to provide a high-quality gaming experience to the public using a phone that is thin, powerful, and built to last.



This handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and Red Magic’s unique RedCore gaming chip, which provides a seamless gaming experience. It’s a really formidable mix, especially with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage available, and it’s all well supported by gaming-specific hardware.

The display is a stunning 6.85-inch OLED screen that covers the entire front of the phone, resulting in a 95.1% screen-to-body ratio. It has a high 144Hz refresh rate to keep motion looking silky smooth, a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, and the entire DCI-P3 color gamut. It also has a 16MP camera behind the glass, which avoids any notches or holes.


The 11 Air also stands out for its battery life, which is rated at 7,000mAh and a significant improvement over the previous phone in the series. when you can still charge it at 80W if you want to power through some long gaming sessions, there are some excellent settings to limit heat when you’re plugged in.

On the subject of cooling, Red Magic has certainly put considerable care into this phone. There’s an active turbo fan that rotates at a whopping 24,000 RPM, due to some new blades that are supposed to provide 21% more airflow while also being quieter and dust-resistant. Not only has the fan been revamped, but the phone now includes a larger vapour chamber to assist transfer heat more evenly, as well as graphene layers and a metal frame to keep everything operating smoothly.

The shoulder triggers on this phone are also nice and responsive, responding at 520 Hz and featuring some smart anti-sweat sensing to keep them precise even when your hands become a little slick. The phone itself is also quite tiny, measuring 8mm and 207g, and comes in two colours: Quantum Black and Stardust White, with another option on the way.

This phone’s cameras are respectable, with the main one being a 50MP snapper with decent optical stabilisation and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens to assist you get the photos you need. The phone runs Android 16, with Red Magic’s proprietary OS 11 on top, which includes some useful Game Space utilities like AI-powered triggers and motion controllers to give you an advantage.

In terms of pricing, the 12GB/256GB variant costs $529, while the 16GB/512GB model costs $629. Other locations have more convoluted pricing, so you might be able to get one for €499 in Europe or £439 in the UK. Early bird vouchers go on sale on February 5th to give you an advantage, with general sales beginning on February 11th.
