This isn’t the first clifftop home we’ve seen, but Glendon Good’s ‘Ring of Fire’ in Sedona, Arizona is definitely the only one that has its own tram. That’s right, a small tram takes you, along with a few visitors, to the top of the mountain in just 3-minutes and 15-seconds.
Aside from spending $185,000 USD building the tram, Glendon needed to get approval from the Sedona Fire District. Fortunately, all of the cables, wiring, excavation, landings, and installation by the Sandoval Elevator Company of Tempe didn’t go to waste, as you can see in the tour. The home itself spans 2,170 square feet over two levels. Featuring a spacious living room, dining room, and even a kitchen that opens onto a cantilevered terrace. There are two bedroom suites on each side of the main living space, all powered by a 30 solar panel array on the roof.

My god…I love this dude. He really makes alot sense to me. What journey Glendon has been on and able to share the experience with all of us. I would’ve guessed that someone who builds a home in such an extreme manner would not like to be bothered by camera guy and host asking a lot of questions. Congrats to all involved. Spectacular home. I would get into falconry from up there,” said one commenter.
