We’ve seen plenty of foldable smartphones this year, but what if there was a tablet that could actually fit in your pocket? Samsung Electronics just might be working on such a device, as they filed a design patent with The Hague International Design System on May 9, 2019 with 35 sketches that look just like a tablet that can fold away into your pocket when not in use.
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, this device can be folded horizontally, and as you can see, it opens to reveal a full display, but without any visible cameras in sight. This could mean that the front-facing camera has been integrated directly beneath the display. When can we expect to see something like this released? You’ll wait until Mobile World Congress in February to possibly get a timeline.
