The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are set to be revealed next month, but renders based on leaked information have just surfaced, courtesy of Evan Blass at 91 Mobiles. One feature that has been removed is the rotating bezel, as the standard Galaxy Watch capacitive touch bezel will now be on both models. The latter can be activated by simply running your finger around the watch face’s perimeter.
From the leaked renders we can see that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro boasts a raised bezel, thus protecting the screen somewhat, while the Galaxy Watch 5 standard has just a flattish front, but does sport a buckle strap. There’s no word yet on what kind of chip will be powering these smartwatches, although it wouldn’t surprise us to see the previous Exynos W920 from thye Galaxy Watch 4 in this new model. It may be a while until we see a Samsung Galaxy Watch with a foldable display, like this Oppo smartwatch.
