Samsung MicroLEDs CES

Unlike traditional LCDs, microLED displays consist of arrays of microscopic LEDs forming the individual pixel elements, whch offer better contrast, response times, and energy efficiency. Samsung just unveiled an all-new 75-inch “The Wall” microLED television at CES 2019, and thanks to its modular design, you’re able to either use it as a single display or combine them to form a giant panel. “This screen with transform the traditional idea of a TV. Want a square setup, or maybe a really long video strip? You’ll be able to use 12 x 12 inch display modules that can easily be snapped together, and when paired with speaker elements, you’ll have a mini home theater in no time. “MicroLED will soon become a fixture of your everyday life. MicroLED will give you the power to create whatever you want, and to place it wherever you want it,” said Samsung Electronics America vice president Andrew Sivori.
