You’ve seen the press photos, now the Segway-Ninebot S-Pod has made its public debut at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. This two-wheeled, self-balancing mobility vehicle can hit a top speed of 24 mph and rather than requiring the user to navigate by leaning forward and backward, it comes equipped with a navigation pad to manually point the vehicle in the direction you want to go.
The company claims that the S-Pod is designed for enclosed campuses such as airports, theme parks and malls. Despite looking like a real-life Wall-E hover chair, Segway-Ninebot said the vehicle was inspired by the gyrosphere vehicles from the 2015 movie “Jurassic World” that transport visitors around the amusement park.
