Slow Mo Guys Rainbow Fire Tornado 1000FPS
In nature, a fire tornado refers to a whirlwind composed of flame or ash that begin with a whirl of wind, often made visible by smoke, and typically occur when intense rising heat as well as turbulent wind conditions combine to form whirling eddies of air. These eddies then contract a tornado-like vortex that sucks in debris and combustible gases. To make one at home, you’ll need at least a dozen box fans, a metal container for the fire, and denatured alcohol.

Gavin of The Slow Mo Guys used 14 box fans and a metal container fixed with chlorides as well as an acid that burn in different colors when the flammable torch fuel is ignited. Once this happened, the fire was going, all the fans were turned on to produce the tornado effect. Lastly, the Phantom TMX7510 high-speed camera captured all of the amazing footage at 1000FPS.
