Set for release in the US on April 25, Sony’s live-action Until Dawn movie is based on the PlayStation video game series of the same name, directed by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman. It stars Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Peter Stormare, and Odessa A’zion.
The film is set in the same universe as the video games, but features an original standalone story that expands the series’ mythology. This group is trapped in the valley where they’re forced to relive the nightmare over and over – only each time the killer threat is different, each more terrifying than the last. With just a limited number of deaths left, the only way for each of them to escape is to survive until dawn.
