Disney has partnered with Bandai to bring Star Wars fans the first R2-D2 Tamagotchi digital pet. Set to be released on November 11, it will come in two shells inspired by Artoo, compete with the iconic Tamagotchi display featuring the familiar animations of the astromech. The digital pet also comes with multiple interactive experiences, including the ability to train R2-D2 to master 19 different skills.
This pocket-sized device lets you keep R2-D2 charged, clean, and even play along in two mini-games, such as firefighting and Dejarik (also known as holochess). Plus, users you can help R2-D2 unlock seven more mini-games if they keep the astromech happy. Pre-orders start on August 2 at 9pm PST, but no pricing has yet been announced.
