Street Fighter McDonald's Japan Street Burgers
McDonald’s Japan never fails to surprise with its collaborations and this latest one brings in the Street Fighter series for the first time. From October 22, 2025, the fast food chain will be rolling out a limited time menu that pays homage to the classic characters of the game. Fans who grew up trading Hadokens in arcades or grinding matches in Street Fighter 2 have a reason to line up at the golden arches. The menu takes the familiar beefy staples and adds flavors inspired by characters like Ryu, Chun-Li and Ken.

Ryu’s burger leads the charge as the Scorched Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki. Based on the Teriyaki McBurger, it starts with a juicy pork patty glazed in sweet teriyaki sauce. Then comes the scorched garlic mayonnaise that adds a smoky kick that lingers on the tongue, paired with a soft-boiled egg for creaminess. At 470 yen, this one feels like a quiet training montage—subtle power in every layer, finished with lettuce and tomato for balance.

Chun-Li’s entry goes big with the Yurinchi Mayo Chicken for 470 yen. This takes the Chicken Filet sandwich and draws from the Chinese dish of oil-drenched chicken where a crispy fillet soaks in a sauce made of soy, sesame oil and ginger. The result is savory depth that builds from the first crunch to the lingering spice. Mayo smooths it all out, while pickles add a sharp contrast.

Ken rounds out the trio with the Triple Cheeseburger, revived from McDonald’s Japan archives for 590 yen. Three beef patties stacked against three slices of melted cheese, all sandwiched between sesame buns with just the right amount of sauce to bind without overwhelming. The heat from the grill seeps through, giving it a robust, no-nonsense profile that matches the character’s showy flair. For those who like his aggressive style, the density here rewards patient bites—the cheese pulls just right and the patties hold firm under pressure.

Outside of the main menu, the lineup adds drinks that tie in with the fighters. The Minagiru Energy McFizz is a sparkling apple juice carbonated for a refreshing kick, wrapped in a cup with Ken’s silhouette. At 300 yen, it’s light and doesn’t weigh you down, the fizz cuts through any post-meal haze. Upgrade to the McFloat for 380 yen and a scoop of soft-serve ice cream tops it off, blending cool vanilla with the tart apple below. These come in collaboration-themed cups that are also keepsakes, with Ryu’s design on some of them.

Breakfast also receives some attention, with the addition of the Dub-Chi Sausage Muffin to the morning menu. Sausage links wrapped in an English muffin with cheese and egg. Priced similarly to an ordinary muffin – nothing extravagant – but available to start off the theme even earlier for those early risers. They also serve Shaka Shaka Potatoes in Consommé flavor, which are wonderful small fries smothered in this rich, broth-like sauce that adds a whole new level of flavor.

On the gaming front, Street Fighter 6 is getting its own nod from Capcom. If you check in during the promotion window, every player receives a free unique color for M. Bisons Outfit 2 – and, oddly enough, in Japan, he is known as Vega, so it adds a wonderful touch to their local lore. And inside the Battle Hub, there’s a poll where you can vote on your favorite McDonald’s burger, which will then determine whether it’s worth releasing as a special drop in the future.
