Inventor Shane Wighton of StuffMadeHere set out to make the world’s smallest bike that you can actually ride, and building it was just easiest part. The build required him to look up the current Guinness World Record holder and just scale down accordingly.
Now riding this tiny bike took countless hours of practice, mainly because the pedals on all of the prototypes were just too small to really get going. The biggest issue was geometry, as when you push the pedals down, they extend beyond the front wheel, resulting in the bike tipping forward. To solve this, Wighton spent a week practicing, and that really did pay off. As for us, we’ll stick with the PS2 Mini, as riding tiny bikes just isn’t our forte.

Your shoes were the problem for the pedals… what you needed were proper climbing shoes (and not the crappy rental ones either, and wear two sizes smaller than you think you should…they need to be as tight as possible). They’re designed for tiny ledges / footholds, making them ideal for tiny pedals. Also, could you not have gone with multiple belts instead of a chain?,” said one commenter.
