Samsung MicroLEDs CES

Unlike traditional LCDs, microLED displays consist of arrays of microscopic LEDs forming the individual pixel elements, whch offer better contrast, response times, and energy efficiency. Samsung just unveiled an all-new 75-inch “The Wall” microLED television at CES 2019, and thanks to its modular design, you’re able to either use it as a single display or combine them to form a giant panel. “This screen with transform the traditional idea of a TV. NVIDIA CES 2019 Jensen Huang

NVIDIA’s press conference with CEO Jensen Huang kicks off tonight at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, and we’re expecting lots of new gaming, artificial intelligence, robotics, as well as auto technology announcements. However, due to the current cryptocurrency downswing, there most likely won’t be too much news on crypto-mining. It’s rumored that the leaked RTX 2060 graphics card will make an appearance as well. Apple CES Privacy Ad

Apple may not have its own booth at CES 2019, but it has found a way to catch the attention of the tradeshow goers this week by plastering a massive privacy bill board on the side of a SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel, which overlooks the Las Vegas Convention Center. The “What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone” Apple used is a play on the famous “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” slogan. The company may also have sent a few undercover employees to see how people react to the ad and / or what people are saying about their current “bendgate” iPad Pro controversy. Xiaomi Folding Smartphone
Another day, another smartphone leak by technology reporter Evan Blass, and this time, it’s of a folding Xiaomi smartphone. When folded, the device looks like any other phone, but in seconds, it becomes a tablet-sized device that can be used to access Google Maps, YouTube, and lots more. Allegedly, the company has been working on a foldable smartphone since 2016, and several videos of a folding screen have been spotted over the years, but this is the first sighting of an actual working phone. LG 8K Resolution OLED CES
LG has announced their next-generation TV lineup powered by the company’s second-gen Alpha 9 processor paired with ThinQ AI, complete with Alexa and Google Assistant support, ahead of CES 2019. The largest of the models will be the Z9, an 88-inch 8K resolution OLED television that uses the second-generation Alpha 9 processor and its deep learning algorithm for supreme picture and sound quality, as well as optimized content that automatically recognizes ambient conditions. LG Cloi Suitbot

LG Electronics’ CLOi SuitBot is touted as the first “human-centric” wearable robot, but it doesn’t navigate airport lounges and hotel hallways by itself. What it does is support and enhance a user’s legs to allow for more mobility as well as lower limb strength, complete with naturally rotating joints that allow the CLOi SuitBot to move in a more relaxed and natural way to enhance the lower body while walking, standing or working. Samsung Artificial Intelligence

The Samsung Group is set to showcase eight innovative new projects related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), developed from its C-Lab (Creative Lab) program, from January 8-11 at CES 2019 Eureka Park in Las Vegas. One of them is the “Girin,” which is basically an auto-adjusting monitor stand that ensures users have proper posture while on their computers at work. This sensor embedded stand automatically tracks the user’s posture, especially neck and head, in real-time. When bad posture is detected, it subtly moves the monitor which naturally trains users to assume better posture without actually noticing the change in monitor position. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Founders Edition

Sure, crypto mining may not be as popular as it once was, but new images of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2060 Founders Edition (FE) have surfaced, and could spark renewed interest. Featuring a dual-fan design similar to the company’s GeForce RTX 2070 FE card, dual DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-I, USB-C ports, and a dedicated 8-in power connector. This card is speculated to be built around the TU106-300 GPU, complete with 1920 CUDA cores compared to 2304 for the GeForce RTX 2070. Read more for two additional pictures and information.

LG CineBeam 4K HU85L Laser Projector
LG will officially unveil its second-generation CineBeam Laser 4K projector (HU85L) with Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology at CES 2019, and it builds upon its predecessor as it now can be placed a little more than 2 inches from the wall to project a 90-inch diagonal image. When placed 7 inches away, the projector produces a much larger and still bright 120-inch image. The projector delivers 2,500 ANSI lumens and 4K UHD resolution, while reproducing highly accurate colors courtesy of its wide color gamut, which further increases the realism of every picture displayed.
